We at deAsra are seeking passionate and driven individuals to join our Research Team and to contribute to the mission of entrepreneurship development in India!!

A. Key Responsibilities:
1. The senior research fellow will take a leadership role in conceptualizing and executing research projects.
2. Conducting independent research as well as assisting on ongoing research projects on various aspects which focus on entrepreneurship and particularly on small entrepreneurs in India.
3. Contribute to policy briefs and academic publications.
4. Analyze and evaluate policies affecting entrepreneurship, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
5. Collaborate with government agencies, industry leaders, organizations to inform policy decisions and promote entrepreneurial initiatives.
6. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior researchers and fellows within the research team.

B. Qualifications and Experience:
1. Master’s degree in economics, quantitative economics, social sciences, public policy, or related fields with at least 7-8 years of relevant work experience.( PhD candidates will be preferred).
2. Experience in engaging with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and academic communities.
3. Proven ability to lead and manage complex research projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.
4. Excellent quantitative skills with considerable experience conducting social science or economic field research, including supervising data collection, teams of field workers, survey design and implementation, financial reporting, and data management.

C. Key Skills:
1. In-depth understanding of the factors influencing entrepreneurship, including access to finance, regulatory environments, and market dynamics.
2. Proficiency in statistical methods and econometric modeling to analyze complex data sets.
3. Proficiency in software such as R, Stata or SPSS for data analysis.
4. Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and peers.
5. Experience working in collaborative environments, contributing to team success.
6. Efficient in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.

D. Location: Remote (preference for candidates based in Pune, Maharashtra).
